Days Spent Elsewhere
The world has been drowned amongst a mighty sea, burst forth from the ground below. None are certain where it came from, but all have been forced to adapt to it’s effects.
After the “World Pool” appeared, land became a scarcity, and people took to living atop boats, the tips of mountains, or the occasional waterborn settlement. Food is always a concern, as growing it is difficult in this new setting. Salt water is plentiful, but fresh water must be found or filtered from the sea’s waters. Monsters still plague the lands, preying on sailors or any unwitting folk that get too close to the water.
Adventurers are uncommon, but there are those who take up the perilous lifestyle to carve out their place. Some do it for money, some for the thrill, and few that hope to find the source of the World Pool.
